Senior Olympics Information

"FUN, FUN , FUN" are the best three words I can think of, to describe Iowa Senior Olympics! 2008 is the 22nd Year The Iowa Senior Olympics have been held.

This year's Swim Meet is Recognized as an Official Masters Meet. Registered Masters Swimmers will be eligible to break Iowa Masters Swimming Records, as well as Iowa Senior Olympics Records.

If you haven't entered to compete yet, don't worry. The deadline has been eliminated, as well as the penalty for Late Registration. We want everyone who wants to compete to have the chance to do so. If you have any special needs, contact Dan Lake, Executive Director. Your fellow Swimmers and Meet Staff will also help you if necessary.

Some new activities have been added or changed to make the Swim Meet special for the athletes. There are sixteen events to select from and the opportunity for Senior Swimmers, 50 and above, to showcase their athletic abilities in the pool. Two new Relays have been added. You can either pre-form your own Team, or put a Team together, before the Meet begins.

Award Medals will be presented throughout the meet to those swimmers finishing in the first three places in each Event, for all age brackets, both men and women.

There will also be some additional special surprises.

So, don't miss the most fun Swim Meet you can attend, in Iowa! See you all at the 2008 Iowa Senior Olympics Swim Meet, Saturday, June 7.
