Club Registration
|
The registration year began
November 1 and we saw nearly 700 clubs register.
However, there are still clubs that haven't
registered.
Please note that in order for a
member to register for a club, the club MUST be
registered. If a member registers online, clubs
that are not registered for 2011 will not be
listed on the drop-down list and members will not
be able to register for those clubs.
As you
can imagine, this causes quite a bit of confusion
for members (and stress for registrars, Club
Assistant and the membership office). PLEASE get
the word out to those clubs in your LMSC that have
not registered--ask them to send their 2011 club
registrations in!

Tips and
Tricks
|
There is a wealth of information about your
LMSC on the USMS web site. From the main page,
click the blue Local Programs tab and then
select your LMSC from the map. From your
LMSC's information page, you can view a list of
every person registered within the LMSC. You can
view a list of your LMSC's officers. Your LMSC's
bylaws and most-recent annual meeting minutes are
available on this page. And you can also view all
of your LMSC's members who have made Top 10, All
American, or All Star
status. |
| A Few
Milestones... |
Conversations
about competitive swimming for adults began in the
1960s. But it wasn't until 1971 that the ball
really got rolling. Below is a timeline of some of
the historical highlights of the evolution of
Masters Swimming. USMS can trace its roots to a
few committed volunteers. It will owe its future
to thousands of committed volunteers like you! Read more... |

LMSC Officer
Changes
|
Has your LMSC elected new
officers or appointed people to new positions?
Make sure the National Office has these changes.
Check your LMSC's officer listings by selecting
your LMSC from the list on this page.
If this
listing is not correct, report any updates to Anna Lea Matysek at
the national
office.

Calendar of
Events
|
Make sure your events are on the
bigger-better-faster Calendar of Events. We added new
search capabilities in 2011 and more improvements
are coming. Our goal is to make it easy for all of
our members to find USMS events, and make it easy
for LMSCs to access all the events in their
geographic areas.
